Walking by the sea    Footsteps in the sand.

Will my tired feet        hold me.

Sometimes feel you near with me on the land.

I remember things     you told me.       Told me.

Talked of heaven.    Heaven above.

Treat the ones on Earth who scorn you 

treat ‘em with love.

And you had always say to me

you would be the one

the shining sun who would

hold me.s’ please hold me.

‘fraid of being alone.    ‘fraid of feeling fear.

Wouldn’t seem so bad if you were near.

In my darkest hour  Footsteps in the sand   

Love’s the only power I understand understand

You carry me.             Keep me from harm.

Lift me up and then you hold me in your arms.

And you’d had always said to me

When I had enough
