I’ve been mentoring young adults with Ken at World Wide Youth Mentoring since 2019. The training on how to engage with various kinds of Gen Z mentees, coupled with the supervision was of world-class caliber. It was not merely world-class teaching; it felt as though I was taking a master’s level course in life coaching, specifically tailored to these young mentees. I hope your experience is as enriching as mine. Oh, and one more thing I wanted to add… when you witness your mentee start making changes, it is truly inspiring. It starts as a slow, snowball effect, but at a certain point, it starts ramping up, and they start making changes, and I tell you, it’s one of the most heartwarming experiences imaginable.It is an honor to be part of that journey, helping a young adult whom no one could help, transform their lives through this mentoring process.

It is an honor to be part of that journey, helping a young adult whom no one could help, transform their lives through this mentoring process.
I think I’d seen close to 10 different therapists since I was 14. They were good at listening to the problems that I was having, but I needed something more.One analogy I came up with is, it’s like, if you’re in a hole, and you’re trying to get out of the hole, and there’s someone at the top telling you, “Hey, this is how you get out of the hole”. That’s what the therapists were like. During my time with Ken as my mentor, Ken was down in the hole with me, and we were climbing out together. And so, it’s not the same as therapy; I feel like it’s a lot more hands-on. At the time, I had no direction; I wasn’t really going anywhere. I didn’t feel like I had accomplished everything I should.I felt like I had been left behind. I really want to say that if you or anyone you love is feeling the same way… Ken’s mentoring program is a great place to be in order to get out of the hole.

In today's world, understanding the thoughts and feelings of our children can be a challenge, especially with the added pressures and complexities of their online lives. The insights I've gained from Ken have allowed me to be a more considerate mom who truly listens. This shift has revolutionized my relationship with my son; we genuinely hear each other now. I've moved away from preaching and embraced listening—no child wants to hear you preach. The skills that you learn in Ken’s Parent Mentoring Workshop are life-changing, fostering a new level of communication with your child. Learning to mentor your child and allowing them to guide you in how best to support them made taking this course an invaluable experience for me and my son.
